createlf.no-ip.biz — There has been a lot of talk around the web on why OpenSocial is just not open enough ( here, here and here). But for now lets rest the speculation of all the bloggers aside and have a look at the emergence of all theses platforms. It all started when facebook launched it platform (F8) at a conference earlier this year. This allowed developers to

If you really think hard about it, an OpenSocial type system is really the only way the social networking market can stabilize. Facebook wants to encompass all social network activity, but it could never really accomodate users the way a more open system could. The only way Facebook can take over is if it taks some notes from the Microsoft playbook.. but I don't think it will have that opportunity given the fact that a lot of hardware is going the open route as well.

"On a deeper look into the exact functions of the API it is almost a rip off of the facebook platform"Right. Anyone who knows the Facebook API can simply take a gander at:http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/docs/index. ...and see this guy is full of it.

.... c'mon. If you live in a small town...or hell..wherever you live, your going to be hard pressed to find 2000 like minded individuals to join in conversation about a specific niche issue. In a bar, party, or bookstore your limited to that location and the people that frequent it. With the internet, spacial boundaries do not apply. You can create a group with members on all 7 continents instantly. Also, although its getting easier...when do you bring your photo album, all your digital media, detailed background and contact information, bookmark lists, news feeds, etc with you when you go the bar, party, bookstore? You dont, but you do link those in your social network.I do see what your saying that we should have more physical contact involved with these social networks but some groups are starting to do that. There are social networks where people plan events as a group online and then go and meet in real life. Its awsome and its allowing people to connect and organize in ways never possible before.

hmmm... open social... it's better to join social networking but sometimes it is much better if humans mingle in a real events rather than creating relationship virtually..http://www.kanati.com.ph
