(11:20:56 AM) danbh_intrepid: ethana2: I don't actually know, but I have a suspicion, that the answer is no. Intrepid is already in a feature freeze, and openoffice 3 is only in the experimental repos of debian
I find Office 2007 intolerable compared to versions 2003/2004. The Office 2007 interface has a bigger learning curve than Office 2003/2004-older and Openoffice 3.
I agree, Office2K7 is so UGLY OpenOffice looks great compare to it; and BTW OO.o never was, is not and will never be "about looks". It's about just getting the job done without having to second guess yourself with software you paid hundreds to Bill Gates (as if he needed it). Get a life people! OO.o RULES and it is here to stay. And M$ better start looking into -yet- another way to steal money out of you !!!
Nope, they will not. MS Office 2K7 is a disaster. Very hard to use. OO.o is an office productivity suite not a Rembrandt painting. If you want that I suggest you go to the Contemporary Arts Museum.

Purchase price? I bought Office Ultimate 2007 for $75. I love OpenOffice but I could not walk past a $75 deal for the MS suite,
