one network?I believe its called the INTERnet not "the network". it is in fact lots of networks interconnected. I guess you could call this meta-network one network but then why couldn't it carry all of that? the only reason is greed and morons.
Like awolfe91 said, connect something to it. There are many media player devices that you can connect so that you can watch your downloaded media on the TV. You could also use some old PC parts and build yourself a cheap HTPC so that you watch all of this on TV instead of a small monitor.

Yeah, because slouching over a keyboard is so much better than relaxing on the couch with a big-ass TV.
