youtube.com — If John Butler were a gunslinger, he definitely would have had fastest hands in the west. It's just too bad that he has fingernails that would make Wolverine jealous (and yes I know they're supposed to be that long). This video will make your jaw drop. Enjoy!

John Butler isn't bad, but as far as the tapping technique and melodic guitar instrumentals, there are quite a few that I think are much better than he, namely Erik Mongrain. If you think John Butler is good, peep these:Airtaphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbndgwfG22kTimelesshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dXBZHehxAsFusionshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4B_Q7AWYawOf if it's tapping and speed you like, here's a Randy Collins, right down my street, just goofing around in his apartment:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEUnAuGJ2gghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMB6Jk46N5A

Trust me, the guy in this video has a lot to learn about playing the guitar still.

He is just good not the greatest. I give it to Micheal Hedges one of the greatest of all time .He innovates this open tuning 2 handed tapping way way long time ago.

It disappoints me to know that a bunch of you guys took me 100% at my word when I said that it was one of the greatest instrumentals of all time. Granted, I think it's effing amazing, but I know there are bound to be solos out there that will top this one. I think tw0k1ngs had it right when he said that so much music flies over people's heads because they are so fascinated by how well they can shred. I just want to let you know that a lot of the "shredding" videos that people have posted in their comments were electric guitars. Anyone who plays guitar knows that it's easier to do solos on electrics, hammer on's are so much harder on an acoustic. Forget the "best instrumental ever" part because it was a marketing ploy to try to get people to look at the video. Pay attention to the music and don't try to put it down to make you feel like you know more about the subject than the first person. Just listen to the tune and enjoy.
