The rather sudden decline of right-wing power in America is of course going to produce a good deal of frantic anger and blame games, much of it against resurgent 'socialism', or whatever fear word has the most power currently. The right is good at self-righteous anger, witness all its angry talk-radio, talk-tv bullies that some in the McCain-Palin crowds imitate, that too many in those crowds tacitly condone. The left needs to push back with its own anger--more powerful because more honest--as does Keith Olbermann, or intelligent anger sharpened into humor--as Obama and the professional humorists do so well.
There is no doubt that Keith Olbermann, though always brilliant, is partisan. However, THIS HATE AND INCITE TO RIOT AND MURDER, pedelled by the PitbullPalin and John McShame, have pushed politics into a deep, dark ditch. There is NO reason for any candidate to do what Palin and McCain have done. What's more, it is what they have not done. They have NOT stopped this chants and shouts but have kept on talking as if there was no threats vocalized.LOOK AT YOU TUBE OF THE MCCAIN PALIN RALLIES AND YOU CAN HEAR THESE VIOLENT RESPONSES TO THE BAITING OF THE PALIN AND MCCAIN. Palin has started something that only a defeat can stop.BI-PARTISAN PUSHBACK ON SHAMEFUL tactics is what Olbermann's admonition was about.Somebody had to express the ANGER, not just of Right Wing zealots, but fair minded folks who are concerned about their lives, not what happened in the 1960's. We know who Obama is. Just watch the debates and his speeches. He won't even allow his gatherings to BOO when McCain is mentioned. Now, we surely know who McCain is. His POW mentality is to scratch and scrape his way out of a tight spot. We don't need someone who is fighting mad. We need someone, like Obama, who is, and will be, fighting for US. ALL of us. Not just the fat cats and corporate cronies..but all of us.
And I distinctly remember Howard Dean calling on "protesters" to stop using the slogan "Bush = Hitler". And I remember Keith Olbermann feeling quite ashamed of his party that these so called protesters considered themselves democrats.
As opposed to what the people are saying at the McCain / Palin events? He can say what he thinks, feels or said to another in front of a television audience but regular people at campaign events can't?

"We're not a 3rd world country."Well, it's not for lack of trying. I think that if we really put our best effort into it, we can still make it happen.

You have obviously not read the facts. Put down the kool aid. Turn to another channel besides MSNBC and CNN and you might learn something.
