You know what's a bigger pain in the ass than having to pay child support for 18 years? Looking after a child you never wanted in the first place for 18 years. Pro-tip: It costs a whole lot more to care for a child than that monthly payment your forking out. Also, the government could care less if you actually pay child support. Sure, the mother could take you to court, but what lower to middle class single working mother has the time or money to do that?Working full time while taking care of a child by yourself for 18 years, only to find out that once your child moves out you're too old or financially unstable to do what you'd actually planned to do with your life? Not the best feeling in the world. If you want the child, you plead your case to the child's mother. Not the government. This is between you and her. We're all adults here. Unless you're a 12 year old girl who was raped of course.
as a matter of fact, over 50% of all women seeking abortion used birth control.i'm amused as the idea that the right to bodily domain only extends so far until someone else decides you don't need it anymore.if pregnant women can be forced to give birth, hopefully i can force someone else to give me their kidney when mine fails.
The fetus is not a person, it is a potential person. A ridiculous percentage of fertilized eggs do not make it to full term/birth. Something like 50%. Those are not "children" they are simply potentials. And at 6 weeks and earlier when most abortions take place, they most closely resemble tadpoles. I'm curious how many of the men who want things to be "fair" have actually observed a pregnancy and birth up close. It is not an easy or painless 9 months. If my body will be distorted & harmed (look up prolapse sometime) then I had better be choosing that damage voluntarily, and not be forced into it as "payback" for having had the temerity to have sex without intending procreation.
That's pretty stupid logic. If I said give me a million dollars or I'll shoot your son, would it mean you don't love your son if you didn't give me a million dollars? Regardless of whether you have the money, it wouldn't be you doing the shooting.
too bad I have a 3 year old daughter, why do digg arguments always end up with ppl accusing each other of being virgins like i'm gonna get steamed and lose sleep because somebody challenged my sex life
and when the kid is 18 she tells the state who the Dad was, and they sue him for back support. I've seen it happen. so now he paid and didn't get a choice in the matter, AND the kid didn't get a Dad.

If they could, I'm sure many would be fathers would rather than see someone who they thought they loved kill their child.

yeah. or maybe if they would invent some kind of pill that women could take, so nobody would need invasive surgery. . .

not if I'm paying $500 a month for 18 years for the damn tree you're not.
