I drove 8 miles to avoid BP stations. Happy to do it for the Gulf. Intil the technology catches up, no more deep water drilling. I will happily pay more for gas, and use less.
Solar/Wind and these "green" jobs aren't economically viable yet. We shouldn't be subsidizing an industry that is less efficient than fossil fuels (which are cleaner and more efficient than 30 years ago anyways). If, and when the technology becomes available that makes cleaner forms of energy profitable and more efficient, then we should definitely jump on-board. But until then, forcing tax-payers to subsidize substandard "green" energy (i.e. 'green' company execs with political clout) is wrong. We should instead create incentives for individuals to invest in the new technologies that will bring us cleaner energy in the future.
