In my eyes all human life is valuable. But our enemy, the extremists - not all Muslims - are the ones I see as worthless pigs. Why should I respect a mindset that murders those who disagree with them, abuses woman and treats them like objects, and brutally torture people routinely?
my "f**king party" is not in power - i didn't vote for Bush in either election (i presume that is what you are referring to).I'm sick of both sides but I'm not dumb enough to think that is just the right who are useless morons, the left can be allowed to take as much credit.
I will blame bush because there was actionable intelligence that he was briefed on and where was he, he was on vacation. he took more days off at the start of his term than any president in history. He was asleep at he wheel. He took 250 days off in his first 3 years thats 27%. Clinton took 152 in 8 years. Those other events were much smaller and only one was on US soil.Syria has improved their border security and they do want to work with America unfortunately America doesn't want to work with Syria. In this black or white your with us or against us regime Syria has been labeled as against the US and we don't talk to our enemies. Check the news Syria does not want to sweep this under the rug you are incorrect sir. Their people won't let them forget that their sovereignty was violated. So taking out a terrorist cell makes it ok to violate another country borders? So by that logic its ok for Israel to attack a Neo Nazi Camp in texas? Check International Law our attack is an Act of War. Just because Syria can do anything gives us the right disregard international law? That is a very arrogant attitude.
Clinton, and before him, Bush, had several opportunities to take out Osama and they ignored them. The government as a whole was negligent before 9/11, you can't blame just one person for the whole event.'Those other events were much smaller'-Yeah, but the first world trade bombing was meant to take down both buildings, and would've resulted in massive loss of life if they had worked as planned (50,000+ potentially killed). Also, we lost a lot of good people in those attacks, and allowing them to happen IS a sign of weakness and lack of political will.In some scenarios you MUST be black and white, especially when it's a war and troops are being lost because of it. I highly encourage you to go up to the first several comment trees and look at my analysis of the events. Syria has NOT been labled as an enemy - this is a move with major political messages, the biggest being 'Work with us, we care now'. That said, this is something that should've been aggressively pursued since the beginning of the war. I favor partnership with Syria, not war. War would be stupid - we have NO reason to topple Syria. We just have reasons to be upset with them. If Syria really were that mad, they'd whip their populace into a national uproar and protest furiously with the UN. Instead, they have issued the equivalent of the 'strongly worded letter' and let it stand at that.As for your third point - I have addressed that specifically countless times in this comment section. Please look at my arguments above, and I will post a rehash later today in this tree. I love analyzing and breaking down this stuff- but it gets tiresome to endlessly repeat myself.

It's just ironic how right wing nutjobs get mad about liberals defending the right of right wing nutjobs to be what they are.
