Okay...so this article is about taking advice from people whom the American Psychiatric Association have deemed as having a mental illness? What am I missing?
Wow. This is almost as if I would have written the article. The author does exactly what I do, every day!It isn't about putting things where you can find them later. It's about giving things a place. Like: the TV remote is always in the drawer underneath the TV. When you stop watching TV, put it back in the drawer. Don't leave it on the couch or table or in the kitchen, because you may think you need it soon again. You can always find the remote in the drawer, because you always put it there.Well, a remote isn't that much of a problem finding it. It's most likely to be found near the TV. But what about your keys? Some letter that company sent two weeks ago? your shoes? Did you see my cellphone lately? Can you call it please? Put your stuff back on the place it belongs, not just somewhere around you.Another tip:When I go to visit a friend and I brought my bag with me: I always put the car keys in the bag. This way, I can never forget the bag, since I cannot leave without the keys! (of course this can only be done with people you trust)It's obsessive compulsive behavior, but I never ever lost or forgot a single thing again.
