obscuretags.com — Old tags never die. They just go to Hell and regroup. At ObscureTags.com. From reversed text to marquees, acronyms to quotes, there's a lot of weird stuff hidden in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Some of them are even useful... but most of 'em are just kind of inexplicable.

A number of those are good modern day tags, like acroynm and abbrev. And I see blink a lot, even though it's bad. And the rest a just outdated....one or two I hadn't heard of.Diggers out there not use HTML or something?

Some weren't too obscure. There was address, opt-group which is gaining popularity, label which should be used so much more *cough*apple and paypal, acronym & abbrev, marquee (thank god it's rarely used), dd and dt aren't really obscure either, but maybe with more people using CSS for everything they are falling into obscurity. Then some of them were really obscure, like the base 64 encoded inline image... kind of cool for mobile devices or high latency sites, expensive tcp/ip connections etc.

I just said this but apple and paypal need to learn the label tag... very badly. seriously people who don't use it should be fired. 101 stuff.

You waited until fourth grade to learn HTML? Are you sure you are in the right place?

I was teaching an intro to HTML and CSS class over the summer and the syllabus was very outdated. They wanted me to teach the tag o.0
