It's a valid point. Do you spend money (time, effort, energy) saving lives or killing lives? The argument is never that simple, and certainly it is not in the case of the Afghan war, where the cost (money, lives, etc.) of pulling out might be higher than the cost of ramping up. However, it is certainly a valid point to debate.
Well I'm glad the right has come aboard to denounce war. Looks like Goo Gone and WD-40 will be flying off the shelves so you can scrape off your bumper stickers, which conveniently, no longer apply....War is the answerPeace through superior firepowerAmerican InfidelMake WarKill 'em all and let Allah sort 'emGive War A Chance!Hawks need to preyWorld Peace Through Military VictoryNow that you're peace activists, why don't you donate to United for Peace & Justice?http://www.unitedforpeace.org/
If we had to pay for wars with fresh, real, actual taxed money, set aside exclusively for the purpose of fighting wars, there would be far less enthusiasm for starting wars - bring it on!
Exactly. I missed all the calls from the Right during the Iraq war of "How are we going to pay for this?" They want smaller government, responsible spending, well here's your chance.
