thanks for the congress.org info. and i have no idea what most of my state officials are up to because i live in vancouver, washington, which is across the columbia river from portland, oregon, where all the major news outlets are. that means that i know all about oregon's politicians and issues but not washington's. it would be nice to get updates now and then!
I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, at least for a few months. I think he is a present unlike any that we have seen in a long time. He is inspirational, but at the same time I think he is also a realist. And unlike a lot of people with lofty ideals, he seems to know how to get stuff done. When is the last time you saw a campaign and a transition team so organized and focused?I know it's easy (and even justified) to be cynical. But I really hope you are wrong. For the first time in a long time I feel empowered to participate more directly in my countries future, and I know I'm not alone. Heck, if nothing else, his competency will go a long way. :)
@chaosblade77Communism is usually considered to be a branch of socialism. I suppose if you take socialism at it's most strict definition, it is the transitional economy between free-market capitalism and communism. I was thinking of the former, more general definition.

This is a new form of "fireside chats" that Roosevelt did over 50 years ago. You can call them "server-side" chats
