prescriptions.blogs.nytimes.com — The president, according to one Congressman, told Democrats that a failed health care bill would "encourage extremists." "?Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?"

You know the funny thing is last time I was taught--countries can change, and do change all of the time. In fact, our Constitution was built with the idea of change--to change the laws of the country that everyone must follow. This is what has made the US strong, that our single government, by itself, has not needed to change the way it does business in its nearly 350 year history and is still able to relatively keep up with modern necessities and the future.*THAT* is AMERICA.

Hey Peanut, funny thing, there's nothing mentioned in the article saying you're not a serial rapist either.

Kindly re-read your comments about "the hateful Left", and my being "yet another Obama supporter... who simply doesn't 'care'". Tell me there are no sweeping generalisations in those comments. The "hateful Right" (as separated from the sensible Right, whose voice is sadly less heard at the moment over the noise from the others) has said many worse things about Obama. He's like Hitler! He's a fascist! He's a communist! He's a Muslim from Kenya! He works for ACORN!All I'm saying is that in the light of this, I think he has the right to slip and use the word "teabag" (which I'm told was coined by a tea-party organiser anyway... no doubt to the embarassment of his colleagues).I'm not judging him on one slip. I'd like to judge him on his policies.

"ad hominem"Coming from the guy who speaks of eeeevil insurance companies (in the soda company metaphor) stealing bottles from you? Ha."If you'd like specific, long winded, and logical debates on a subject avoid one liners and vague phrasing like whatnot. "See above."more competitive"There are thousands more insurance companies than soda companies. And the Left doesn't want to lift the red tape preventing these companies from operating in multiple states. Don't raise the "competition" canard. As far as whether soda companies are "better" because they provide a tangible profit... that's something for the market to decide. How about we lift those arbitrary restrictions and find out what the people - the market - actually thinks? But none of what you posted actually gets to to the core of my point, which is government's ROLE. This ain't it.

You ask your question based on a false premise. Have you not even been following the healthcare debate?http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/10/video-axelro ...http://reason.com/archives/2009/07/16/health-care- ...As for whether there are more beverage than insurance companies, I will say on second thought I can't be 100% certain this is the case, but as you haven't got a list of beverage companies, I don't see a need to provide you with a list of insurance companies. That is beside the point anyway. Even if you had such a list, it'd mean nothing as it is absolutely a FACT that there are many thousands of insurance companies. Do you seriously contend this? It's just laughable that one more "option" (if it's even remotely a fair competitor) would create more competition than allowing companies to compete across state lines. No, it's just not believable that "competition" is really the end goal, not with the facts as they are: not with the CBO's nonpartisan reports' conclusions, not with the stated goals of OBAMA HIMSELF - ON VIDEO - along with many other Leftists in government. Simply unbelievable.

I think at this stage it would be safe to assume that you have either been a victim of a road trauma or born with learning difficulties, because you are having major problems in understanding a very basic concept that has been pointed out to you and explained repeatedly throughout this entire article. I only wish there was some sort of image editing program with these reply boxes so I can draw it out for you in little cartoons so you can understand it. Now read this answer VERY carefully, I will even type it out as if I am talking to the mentally handicapped so you can understand it. "What gives me the right to benefit from your hard work?"You DO have the right to benefit from my hard work IF you also pay like everyone else. For example, you are a normal member of society. If you are a douche bag and DON’T pay like everyone else (not sure why I said ‘if’, when we all know the answer) then you DON’T deserve anything. That is twice I have explained it to you, We all know, judging by all your other posts, that you are really f**king stupid, but surely you can now see how a f**king basic system like this works.

How is one to have an honest discussion with people who don't care about the facts? Simple: You can't. I didn't "win" - you forfeit. Truly, I'm not trying to "rub it in." I'm trying to wake you up. You SHOULD care, for crying out loud. It MATTERS. If you disagree, go find some facts, bring them back, debate, etc. - but you've got to CARE, and if you find the facts don't fit with your opinions, **be honest with yourself** and reconsider your position. Many of us conservatives have done exactly that and this is where it lead us. If you can't say the same, wherever it lead you, then... well, I'd say "you're only hurting yourself," but the truth is, you're hurting many others, as well.

These are the people who initially proclaimed themselves as teabaggers proudly, oblivious to the joke. Teabagger is like the N-word? Uh-oh, more repression myths coming our way?
