I know al nasikh wal mansookh and I know exactly what ayat they apply to and let just say none of the abrogated versus have to do with violence or killing. The major abrogated ayat in the Quran are the ones dealing with intoxication and going to prayer whilst intoxicated. That no longer applies seeing that alcohol was eventually prohibited all out.The ayat you're thinking about and kill them where you find them are in special context of certain situations during the time of the Prophet. I don't reckon you understand any of these things nor understand any of the historical context I'm referring to. I also don't think you understand the verse in the Quran that states that taking a life is like killing the whole of mankind and saving a life is like saving the whole of mankind. To add to that I don't think you understand the verse in Chapter two that explicitly states that there is no compulsion in religion. Don't think you can preach the holy books and scriptures and traditions of other people onto them. You are really a clueless, ignorant fool.Also, what hadiths exactly are you referring to? If the Prophet specifically stated that the one who kills innocent men, women, children, elderly or people of scripture/clergy will never smell the scent of paradise how can one derive a violent meaning from this verse? Not so much even mow down trees and destroy agriculture is allowed during war time. Your mind is warped and you allow some bits and pieces and fancy websites to do the thinking for you, Gareth. You are no different than the extremist zealots that bend, twist and spin everything out of proportion to further their cynical causes. It's really sad and unfortunate. This may be the single most important advance in the war of ideology between the West and the Middle East in the last 50 years. I didn't vote for the guy, and i think his fiscal policy is going to nail us to the wall, but this was very well done on a number of levels and is a far cry from the last 8 years of imperial recklessness that has been wreaked throughout the Muslim world during the Bush administration. I like this guy.

After reviewing the many comments on this particular article, I have come to the conclusion that most of the people on here absolutely believe America is the most evil nation in the world. I am really ashamed to be surrounded by such America hating leftists. Maybe none of you mentally deranged liberals with your pot filled minds ever thought, that maybe the reason part of the world hates us is because that hate what we stand for? I suppose all of you commie libs believe that Islamic fundamentalists want to attack us because we don't talk to them enough and because we support Israel? Thats just it I figured it out! Most of you believe that the Islamic communities hate America because we don't talk to them that much and tend to isolate them from the rest of the world. Oh yea they think were big bullies too because we go over to their countries and kick their ass. Well I got news for you. Lets not forget about the nations that do support us and have joined in our efforts to combat terrorism. Lets not forget about all of the nations in the entire world that have been victimized by these terrorists. Countries such as India, England, Spain, Australia, Russa and the list goes on. These Muslims have a hard time getting along with themselves let alone the rest of the world. Does everyone here remember what Saddam did to his own people? They were Muslims just like Saddam. How about Iran? Iran kills thousands of their own citizens every year, especially Iranians who are homosexual which should piss most of you off here on this forum. This is the disease of liberalism. These liberals would rather appease their enemies rather then face the reality of how dangerous their enemies truly are.

Obama thinks he is going to &quot;Change&quot; the world. He believes that he can talk to Islam and work out a solution with these people. The word Islam means Submission.
