Awesome. But, looks like its gone down with apparently the entire world descending upon it, and sharing their stories. The power of Democracy. Just wait a minute, they'll get this down. Eventaully the party will move to WhiteHouse.gov.
It's easy to see failure when that's your only expectation. Give the man a chance, if he doesn't live up to it, we will vote him out next time. McCain is more of the last 8 years which we know we don't want. Obama is different, we don't know what that difference will be yet, but we are anxious to find out.
Well guys, I really like the part where Obama claimed to support the 2nd amendment, but basically wants to finish dismantling it.As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn't have them. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.
Create the American Opportunity Tax Credit: Obama and Biden will make college affordable for all Americans by creating a new American Opportunity Tax Credit. This universal and fully refundable credit will ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is completely free for most Americans, and will cover two-thirds the cost of tuition at the average public college or university and make community college tuition completely free for most students. Recipients of the credit will be required to conduct 100 hours of community service. I believe that makes it an option to take the credit. Then and only then will you be required to do the 100 hours of community service a year for the finical help. As far as the high school 50 hours a year of charity work required, I say good idea. Charity is a very American and I might add christian thing to do, not to mention that this is required in many schools to graduate already. But of course you can always send in your comment directly to your government and Congressional reps saying what you don't like about it.
Wow. This is truly revolutionary. Obama redefined how a political candidate utilizes the internet and now will redefine how, as President, government will utilize the internet to relate to its citizens.
Did anyone notice they took the policies down? You used to be able to see his major policies outlined. I guess since he has some top secret or inside information he realized not everything is as it seems..
I like Obama and most of his policies, but for the first time I'm sort of creeped out. I mean, if Obama ruffled so many tail-feathers in the current administration, then why is the government giving him a special web site called "change.gov" filled with snazzy campaign photos heralding the great future ahead of us, like some kind of brochure? And why was it clearly in preparation before he even won the election? (Websites like that aren't made in
