news.yahoo.com — He has a longer record in elected office than she does, as a 2nd term NY senator. Obama was elected to the Illinois state Senate in 1996, when Democrats were in the minority. He proposed hundreds of new laws, including universal health care, tougher gun control and expanded welfare, but saw most of them spiked by Republican leadership.

You are an idiot. There is a strong correlation between guns and crime; that is, more guns = less crime. <a class="user" href="http://books.google.com/books?id=K6dIvTFsDMkC&pg=P">http://books.google.com/books?id=K6dIvTFsDMkC&pg=P</a> ...You are so uniformed, idiot. It is funny how the uniformed masses work to hinder American rights.

Wow, I hate to be the one who has to tell you this, but you're a real assh**e.And before you go ahead and digg me down or tell yourself I'm wrong, try and actually think about it. How sure are you that you're not.

Technically it would be 1/2 more income... We get 66%, 33% goes to the government (roughly), and 33 is half of 66.Geting rid of the income tax won't help, but charging rich people more will, maybe allowing 20% income tax at some some point.

Hey guys, I see my post on Farrakhan got dugg down a little. You know that I didn't write that, don't you? It's his Nation of Islam OFFICIAL bio. Easy for you to google. I asked a simple question. And I think it's an important one. Why would a Christian Church give such respect for a Nation of Islam "minister", call him "honorable", when he doesn't believe Christ is the Savior? That goes directly against the Chrisian teaching. They are called Christians for a reason, no? I asked several times for someone to post a verifiable response from Obama on this issue. You know, information is a good thing. It shouldn't be that hard. It could help settle a lot of uneasiness on the subject. So, it doesn't do you any good to just digg it down, or sweep it under the rug. People want an answer. It's all over the news, for crying out loud. If you can't address an important issue like this, what else are you willing to turn a blind eye to?

"He proposed hundreds of new laws, including universal health care, tougher gun control and expanded welfare, but saw most of them spiked by Republican leadership."Thank goodness, I for one like to keep my money and freedom. Not that neocons are any better in this department, but there is always Ron Paul.Just another trivial piece of information for Obama groupies to mindlessly bump up to the top. "Golly! That Mr. Obama is slightly more polished then a turd!"

It comes down to stopping a crime in progress - someone is breaking into your home to steal your stuff, harm you and your family - Right Now.You have 9 seconds to decide:- they smashed in a window and are already in your home - what do you do ? Phone and wait for the police to find the bodies of you and your family a half an hour from now, or draw your weapon and open fire ?Oh, this is from a real life situation by the way:Some guy broke into three homes, each time beating old people near to death to take a few dollars from them, until he broke into the forth home and took two shotgun blasts to the chest. No more terrorizing and torturing of senior citizens, thanks to an Armed American. The 2nd Amendment : The Right to Defend your Life, Liberty and Happiness.American Gun Owner - like the official T.V. advertisements say:"An Army of One".

"...proposed hundreds of new laws, including universal health care, tougher gun control and expanded welfare..."universal health care: Oh great. In Canada people wait for years for an MRI and die waiting their turn for surgery. And these are people that have PAID for coverage all their lives, by working and paying taxes.tougher gun control: terrific. That's working out great in Washington DC, isn't it? expanded welfare: ?? We're going backwards?Obama is an empty suit.

Hallelujah! Obama is going to take us to the promised land!"Be not afraid; for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people: for there is born to you this day in the city of Chicago a Savior, who is Barack the Democrat."<a class="user" href="http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/433071/25892032">http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/433071/25892032</a>

Your point on the police is pretty good, but you didn't really explain why we should all get firefighting services. Why should we all pay for firefighters and let the poor pay less for the same service? Why shouldn't their houses burn down if they can't help pay as much as people who make more money?

So you don't think there are people who can't afford food? How stupid can you be?Obviously in the perfect world we would just give them all the means to rise up again, but if you are a homeless felon with mental disabilities your chances aren't too great of being anything better than a homeless person (and around 1 in 4 homeless people have a psychological disorder).

In direct violation of the law of land the Obamanation refuses to address or even answer his support for his home town's illegal and unconstitutional abuse of citizens rights. The Obamanation needs to be charged with violation of civil liberties if he does not come out and end his attack on our nation's individual right to bear arms.24 DAYS AND COUNTING . . . On July 4, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel Lawrence G. Keane sent presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) a letter asking whether he still believes his hometown of Chicago can ban law-abiding citizens their Second Amendment right to own firearms, including handguns, in their homes. The NSSF letter followed the landmark ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court affirming that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms. To date, NSSF has not received a response from Sen. Obama or his campaign. As Sen. Obama continues to dodge questions related to the Second Amendment, the senator's hometown of Chicago is continuing to enforce their unconstitutional gun ban and Washington, D.C., is attempting to circumvent the Supreme Court decision -- a move which has led to another lawsuit against the Capitol City.
