breitbart.tv — "It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." Everybody but the person who's money this clown wants to spread around. Check out Obama admitting he wants to give our money away

So one sound bite about "spreading the wealth around" is enough to claim doom and claim communism is coming? Are people spooked by the current economic situation or is it the anti-Obama conspiracy thinkers popping up or a delightful mix of both. To put the sound bit into perspective, the current system of raising taxes and social security is a way of spreading the wealth around.Dropping the soundbite and analysing his more elaborately explained taxplans, lead to the conclusion that a lot of people would end up paying less taxes and that mainly the top level incomes, who recieved ridiculous tax cuts under Bush, will end up paying more taxes. That also can be explained as "spreading the wealth around".Perhaps his plans to stimulate to economy might change this, but thusfar I think that is "out of the pocket"expenses for the government leading to a larger deficit.

those who are guilty of such sweeping criticisms [of the rich] do not know how many people would be made poor, and how much suffering would result, if wealthy people were to part all at once with any large proportion of their wealth in a way to disorganize and cripple great business enterprises. -Booker T. Washington a former slaveI have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed. -Booker T. Nanny, it is not stark denial and the rest of the personal attacks are hardly needed either. But apparently that is how people with opposing views are regarded in these days: they must be wrong in the head.A comment such as "spreading the wealth around" is a soundbite and can be taken in many different ways. Spreading the wealth around is already done by various programs such as the social security system. Are you really opposed to government programs helping the less fortunate? Because that is a pretty Christian theme and should find support there. The point is, why use such soundbites to try and figure out what that would mean, when there are far more detailed plans available for easy reading and analysis on Obama's website in which it is spelled out. Those plans have been reviewed and commented upon by several specialists and one of the conclusions was that most people would recieve tax cuts and only the most wealthy people would be taxed heavier. A group of people who received enormous tax cuts during the Bush regimes.

Obeythefist, being on digg isn't easy for a practical, pro-capitalist who owns the means to enforce his own well-being and safety. If you stay here for very long, you'll find out that having to Login after every keystroke is a slow way to communicate with your friends, but rewarding in the long run.

Keynesian economic policy is a great balance of capitalist and socialist values..the enviable models of Western Europe were all set up under Keynes guidance at the end of WWII...unfortunately, most Americans are so insulated from what goes on outside our borders, they have no idea how nice it can be to have an economy that works for everyone.

as if you had any money...puh leez...why is it that the people who would benefit the most for the Demcrat's programs,..like Joe the NOT plumber....who disparage Obama...how is it???...I will tell you ...it is only the most dullest, dumbest, slowest minded morons who resonate with McCain's low level of intelligence message..he is making a cynical bet that there are more idiots in America who vote than intelligent people...after 30 years of policies that have stripped our education system of any real value...it is a pretty safe bet...unfortunately for McInsane, with Palin on the ticket he may have lowered the bar a little too far!
