americanthinker.com — >...I've worked as the state level media and strategy director on three Presidential election campaigns -- I know how "promises" work -- so I analyzed Senator Obama's promises by looking for loopholes. The first loophole was easy to find: Senator Obama doesn't "count" allowing the Bush tax cuts to lapse as a tax increase.....>>

True with republicans but democrats are not republicans. They often do not roll like that, they do not worship the unitary executive position. Democrats are a party of contrarians much like digg.

oddly enough historically the republican base is the higher educated and higher income people. Where are you getting your facts from?

none of those tax increases such as the reversing the Bush tax cuts will affect a single person earning under 250,000 per year. The Bush tax cuts will essentially be permanant for everyone earning under 250,000 per year. This is a bunch of crap. I like McCain's trade policies etc... more than Obama, but this website is 100% lying verifiably.

I would be laughing my ass off right now, except for the idea you might actually be serious.

Then how is Obama going to pay for universal health care? How is he going to pay for the "Green Army" which is going to save the environment? Where is Obama going to get the estimated $3 trillion in new spending he promised during the primary campaign? Either he's lying now, or he was lying then. Also, suppose everything in Obama's tax plan is true and he honors his campaign promises. The wealthy will pull their money from investments and speculations, and hold on to the cash like a turtle pulling in its legs and head. The economy will slow even more with out that capital and then tax revenue will dwindle. Where does he get the money for all his social programs then?

The surplus was a myth supported by smoke and mirrors. Housing for people who can't afford it was a big mistake.

As a small-business owner and parent of four children, I pray that the Obama-worshippers are right. So do several of my non-corporate U.S. suppliers - as it is plans for modest expansions have been taken off the table entirely since the election in two cases. (Yes, in the U.S. the voters have the ability to change the country's direction.)If the Obama-fans are right about the tax rates, we will begin to see those plans go back into motion. For now, I am heeding the example of other small business folk and putting my plans in back-burner mode.
