I get you...Honestly, while I think that homosexuality as an orientation is generally biological, the same cannot be said of homosexuality as a behavior. Sadly, most of the 'evidence' from the animal kingdom falls in the latter category. Sexual contact between animals is not always about pleasure or procreation; sometimes it is about establishing and communicating social hierarchy. Sometimes, I would guess, it even comes from simple boredom.Dubbleyew had it right: since homosexuals are persecuted in much of the world, with the worse detractors tending to fall in the hypocritical religious fundamentalist camp, these 'justifications' are necessary to fight this injustice. In the end, if I choose to engage in homosexual behavior (whether I define myself as gay or not,) the only justification I need is simply this: I feel like it. And while it is always good to note parallels to animal behavior, or own human behavior is a bit more complex...
