blogs.zdnet.com — Despite having a strong presence on Facebook and YouTube, the Democrat presidential hopeful has launched a social network of his own. MyBarackObama.com invites supporters to create a profile, blog their campaign experiences, plan and attend events, find other supporters, and help raise funds for the campaign. Overkill or a winning strategy?

"Lack of military service and lack of sciences background raise warning flags for me."Your opinion...though history tends to show that non military presidents were better (IMHO).

@jayclicheI have seen twice now you link Socialism to some sort of anti-corporate ideology. That is simply not the case. Two things:1 Socialism is the redistribution of wealth and resources based on the governments whims.2 Who do you think employs the common man, provides his paycheck, and keeps this country moving? The Government?? Hardly. Corporations need two things: manpower and investment money. The government provides neither. Now, this is not to say that the government should allow corporations to run amok, but regulation and taxation is one of the biggest obstacles to both large corporations AND small businesses. And speaking of small business, the minimum wage increase was a huge blow to them.

The concept of a presidential candidate not being a complete computer-illiterate douchebag is one thing, but someone who is actually up to date with the times? This blows my mind. From this and other things I've seen, Obama has really impressed me.If I was American, I'd vote for him.

Ever heard of Bush's tax cuts? It's what the Republicans do, and it effects only the wealthy meaning they earn more money. It is supposed to be good for middle class, because of the trickle down theory which is basically the business-owning wealthy are able to expand their business, creating jobs, and providing things like health care to workers, raises, etc. But what company is legit today? So many scams, took them a long time to increase the minimum wage, hardly any jobs were created, illegal workers, and companys' outsourcing to other countries to make more money by paying their workers complete s**t. So does this work? NO, when was the last time you heard something positive about this on the news?

I think this is a very wise move to engage with the people that normally don't get out there and get involved with politics.

I'm thrilled to see that Barack is harnessing the most powerful tool at least in America. He is reaching the largest group of people, especially average people who want to see a different, more normal politician in the White House.
