As far as all this debate talk goes, as stated above, Obama did agree to the three officially commissioned debates. When McCain first broached the idea of non-commissioned town hall debates, Obama said there might be some interest there. Then McCain proposed one a week. Obama said he would consider one debate on July 4th and another Lincoln-Douglas style debate later. The McCain camp said no to this offer (a perfectly reasonable offer at that...I mean come on a debate every week...get real), which begs the question: who really is the one avoiding the debates?
Good call jetboyterp...July 4th...way to miss the symbolism.Neither political party or campaign should have tickets to fill the venue. That leaves the room open to plants who will ask questions that put a falsehood on the world stage, regardless of the veracity. You know, kinda like the South Carolina push poll in 2000 where Bush surrogates suggested that McCain had fathered a multi-racial child.I can almost hear the worst of the question - "Senator Obama, you were educated in a Madrassa. Given your background in Islam, how can we be certain that you won't bring an Islamic agenda into the White House?"
absolute stupid reason to vote for someone. yeah vote blindly for for obama because mccain is retarted. if that is the case vote for bob barr. someone who has ideas that are not the same as mccain and obamas
it is called compromising for the better of the country. he is now trying to get those tax breaks cut from the original bill. so, yes, i agree with a politician who wants to see the country grow out of the dependency on oil instead of saying the same bulls**t or wanting to make oil companies richer. maybe you should have listened to the whole interview. but i guess you want to go by the facts of what others have said. good job on judging other people's character. at least i research what his issues and policies.
um... that's not Obama's solution. That's a solution provided by experts and also was endorsed on the sly by McCain a few days later. MCCAIN QUOTE: "And could I mention that Senator Obama a couple of days ago said that we ought to all inflate our tires, and I don't disagree with that. The American Automobile Association strongly recommends it."Please for your own sake read stories don't just pull your talking points out of them. McCain's campaign is relying on the people being shallow enough to not actually dig deep enough to realize that he is spreading false information. Welcome to the internet generation where we have access to check the record on our own. Those of us that do are not easily fooled by this ignorant sensationalism.
My fellow Americans,In the past, there have been many American's who have not used their right to vote for who represents them. The founding fathers gave us this right so that the power could be held by the people, and by not using it, we are leaving the power among the elite few. As there is an election coming up, we must participate in this right. I am currently involved with a video trying to convince Americans to do so. It is unbiased, and we hope it will inspire others to do their part. The video can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4kg514DcTAAll feedback is appreciated.
