"The NYTimes/CBS polls are generally quite good, and it's NOT only their poll that's saying this."First of all, you didn't just use a Liberal blog, fivethirtyeighty, to defend a Liberal NY Times poll for being "quite good" did you? Wow, I'm gonna leave that one alone.Secondly, there is article after article, with facts and all, showing how biased NY Times polls can be. Google, can be quite fun for researching things like that imho. They don't care about be accurate but just to appeal to the readers, who are mainly Liberals. Trust me, I used to be one and I know how biased the NY Times was then and still is.Just grabbed a couple of the top results for ya.http://safetystate.com/pollinfo/nytimes.htmlhttp://newsbusters.org/blogs/tim-graham/2009/04/07 ...Well since you clearly called me out about all my comments on this thread, I called you out for your trolling all of my comments. You call em a troll, I call you a troll = Stupid & meaninglessPS: I wasn't trolling but just pointing out the facts to people agreeing and disagreeing with that bs 72% statistic. Next time should I just let people believe in such a biased poll, to be facts and/or represent our country at whole? If I was unknowingly basing my comments on a biased poll, I would hope someone would point that out to me asap. Why don't we get one of the two major companies to do the poll and see what the results truly are. I doubt they would get anywhere close to 72%, let alone 50%. Even on Digg, there hasn't been that much support of a Government "Universal healthcare' plan at the tax payers expense and Digg, as you know, is pretty damn Liberal.Have a nice day.( being genuine)

@yourguruCome on! You don't see a anti-trust advantage that the government has over private businesses? Taxes & law making you moron! You can't even grasp the obvious!

The reason why private health costs have increased more than Medicare is because the hospitals and physicians who are forced to accept Medicares extremely low reimbursement rate simply cost shift those losses to the private sector. Medicare gives the illusion on paper of low cost, but the fact is they set their own fee schedule and pay the doctors what they damn well choose to pay and the hospitals must accept that rate - period. Unlike privates who are forced to pick up the slack on ever increasing medical costs from hospitals, doctors and pharmacueticals to make up for how much they lose on seeing Medicare, MediCal., uninsured etc., go ahead and digg me down now...

Canadian HealthCare System Falling Apart, http://www.apatheticvoter.com/Newsletter_Articles/ ... I think there was some people saying how good it was.

The government insurance program will pay for itself. That means when the government insurance option bills you X, they're charging you X, not X plus secret fees by other means. In terms of your concerns, it's a better system than what we've already got.

My overall tax rate on a substantial family income was 27% after all deductions. Not too shabby, I'd say. We have other taxes (consumption taxes, higher fuel taxes) but it's not nearly the same. Also, my monthly health insurance premium is zero. What's yours?
