thinkprogress.org — (Video) Bill O'Reilly launched into a long tirade last night about how the New York Times didn't cover the JFK terror plot on the front page, in part to help play down the threat terrorism so Democrats can get elected in 2008. One problem: the Times DID have the story on its front page -- and ThinkProgress has the photos.

you guys aren't getting it and neither is thinkprogress. They call themselves THINKprogress yet people put little thinking into what he is saying. They have a tiny article on a terror plot foiled and it isn't the main headline. It should've been plastered all over the front page people! isn't it great news that a terror plot was foiled!!! Doesn't it deserve to be on the front page in massive bold letters!!! Instead of a small cut at the bottom of the front page???Please people make me believe that you all have the smarts and the capacity to know what is going on here.

Between the time I first loaded this page and the time I refreshed it it went from 1041 Diggs to 1030 Diggs... The difference in time was approximately 15 minutes between the 2 refreshes. Seems like we lose a Digg a minute... Dude, this is pretty f**ked up right here - Stan Marsh

My bad... browser screwed up and I posted in the wrong tab... I retract the previous statement and would like to say the following:O'Reilly is a pompous windbag propagandist shill of the corporate media more concerned with pleasing his masters then with actual truth... He makes me wish public stonings were an option.

@bigturns: " it is amazing to me the number of 'negative digg numbers' on this post.... any post which dogs O Reilly, it seems, has felt the snide punch of the religious right as it rolls through digg attempting to sway opinion."Translation: you hate it when left wing propaganda is proven to be dishonest.Don't hide behind your bigotry.

Well, it wasn't quite as lam3 as the "terror plot" made up by the bunch of homeless bums who couldn't buy a bottle of Thunderbird between them.

Oh, and one more thing...@lastvisibledog, "Don't hide behind your bigotry."Don't hide behind your bigotry.....? I understand, really I do. You see your leadership using psychological tools like projection to frame their opponents all the while they are guilty of the thing they are projecting (i.e. Bush, the draft dodging silver spooned AWOL fly boy, and his supporters, successfully cast John Kerry, a two term veteran of the War in Vietnam, as pseudo-soldier who bought, through privilege, his medals). It makes sense you would attempt to use such tactics.Pluralism, secularism, liberalism and diversity: these are the words of my party. None of which hold bigotry as a tenant. Can you say, with integrity, the same is true about your party?

we all know o'really? is a self-serving ego-maniac that would be one of the bush neo-cons if he ever got fired from Fox. Of course that might tie the station too closely to the administration and that wouldn't be good for business and politics. after all, we are supposed to be living in a democracy, not a fascist state.
