@thevoicelessThat's possibly one of the most annoying things when I have to use Vista in uni! If you put a window over the top of the other, because you're reading from the one at the back and inputting to the one on the front, you need to click the one at the back in order to scroll it down, in which case the front window moves to the back.At least in Linux/Mac OSX this isn't the case, little things like that make life easier. In Gnome (no idea about KDE), you can even set a window to always be on top. Double win.

It already is. Paint has really grown this time around, as has Calculator.

It's not too big of a deal though. It believe there has to be a third party software or something that can make it work how you want. Synaptics touchpads don't have this issue. By default, Microsoft implements scrolling to only work on the active window but that can be changed by a 3rd party driver. For example, my touchpad driver maker, Synaptics, allows you to configure whether you want it to scroll the active window or the window the mouse is hovering over.

I use the 3D look, but restored the old black triangles as indicators of running apps.

I used it quite a bit.Everything up to Windows 3.11 wasn't an OS either... just a front end for DOS.NT was the first MS OS with a GUI.

Dugg because it mentions the Amiga computer which was ahead of it's time when it came out.
