"That's funny, since you can't buy the Intel version of Tiger."Actually if you already own a intel mac you can get a install on a disk. Although I didn't say I bought the intel version. I went out and purchased a retail copy of osx. I paid them for a OS and I am going to use the intel version.Nothing was stolen.

We dropped 20 places because we jailed one journalist??? That just tells you that the ratings have so little variance that the ranking is almost meaningless to a certain point. And what totalitarian countries do you see above 44th anyway? Also, what bulls**t are you spouting now about the right winged nature of the media? As well as Christian slants? I've watched the BBC before, and honestly it's more dry than informative, and I find it to be just as slanted. Also, can't say s**t about the cracking anymore, can you? Good that you did some reading and now know what you're doing is illegal in whatever border you're from. :-)

you know what amuses me? the amount of Mac people scrambling to get Windows installed/emulated on their machines. Whats the difference between hacking OSX to get it to run on a PC, and hacking Windows to get it booting on a Mac? well, Gates & co would LOVE for you to run Windows on your Mac. Jobs & co HATE the fact that people can install OSX on their PC. yet the whole osx86 thing has been good publicity for Apple since it started, like it or not.and i've had enough of those "just buy a Mac you bunch of cheapskates" comments. we're not all rich americans, in some countries an iMac is like three years wages. Apple's exclusivity is simply that only the well-off/rich can afford them.

@mr.hostility: "Furthermore, it's not a crime to discuss illegal things"Depending on how you are trying to define "discuss": Uh... Bzz, wrong answer. There are various "conspiracy to commit X" laws, where X is murder, fraud, etc, etc. There are various "accessory to X" laws where X is murder, fraud, theft, etc. It is certainly a crime to make plans to commit a crime. It is certainly a crime to help someone commit a crime by supplying them information with the intent to help them commit the crime.

There are 2 things that if apple did them they would very quickly get on top of the OS wars IMO"1. sell Tiger for generic PC's (even if it costs as much as XP, although it be nice if it was cheaper)2. help out the darwine project or actually do the rumored redbox project so that windows apps could be run right in OSX.If Apple did those 2 things they kick microshafts ass and be on top in less than a year i bet."Yeah, all that and rubbing your peepee really fast will get you wet nuckles.

Now look similar projects pop up elsewhere in the world who don't have the DMCA.That's why sites like The Pirate Bay hasn't been shut down... Swedes generally piss on DMCA letters for example.

This has happened once before to them...A couple months ago they had to 'remove' the installation guides from their wiki, so they just outsourced them :P I am sure other communities will take the slack.

i don't want to buy a new computer. I already have one. I just want the OS. If i could pop into PC World and buy a copy for my PC I would.anyhow, OSX86 is back online now
