OOXML cannot be implemented by anyone other than Microsoft due to the fact that they included long-standing Office97 bugs in the "standard" == !openhttp://www.noooxml.org/

I have a good reason *to* use it.:It was designed by a company which developed what could be the best office suite (Office 2007) to date. I know this'll get buried by the *nix and open office fanboys but seriously, once you use Office 2007, everything else seems clumsy.

How do you suggest that such powers would be implemented? Should they be able to sue any office software provider that didn't conform to the standard?

"ever think that maybe not everything needs to be OSS."Not open source, but open standards. Proprietary formats should be avoided like the plague.
