This is a war of attrition where one side has an endless supply of volunteers that can blend into the civilian crowd at any time, and the opposing side is an impenetrable force of technology. These recent wars are not like any in the traditional sense, there practically identical to the Vietnam war, except the Vietnamese were able to fight as a force, and not in spontaneous provocations. Neither side will lose, both will claim victory.
