Who cares about Japan?

firstly: stop mentioning more plastic filled cars which don't do bends and are built my health and safety executivessecondly: who really cares where or how quickly a console sells, if digg continues with articles like this I expect to see 'toilet roll sales dramatically increase to 3 purchases per street (average)' - it's not like anyone really cares who buys what. what's important is whether it works.

There is no way the 360 will even make Dreamcast installed base numbers before it is canceled/pulled from the market by Microsoft. There just aren't enough suckers out there to reach that high of an installed base number.

Dreamcast > all current gen and next gen systems.

^^ no kidding, and the original PC versions of applicable titles were far better also (see PoP, Psychonauts, HL2, Far Cry, Riddick, Halo, Kotor, Splinter Cell games). The fact that MS had to drive dump trucks full of money to publishing houses to keep co-op gameplay for games like Halo and Doom 3 is evidence of how desperate they are.

"M$"Two letter can say a lot about the author and his agenda... Console nerds and PC nerds hand in hand. Cute.

People like to twist up the numbers and apply their own explaination that makes something simple into a hideous monster. This is a case in point. Microsoft started it's Japan campaign with low numbers in mind. They set the price point at a place where they thought they would keep (some) units on the shelf while they made more. So far they have hit all of their targets. Selling out of your merchandise in the first few days is never a good thing. MS knows that Japan is a real tough cookie to crack int he game console industry. Especially with it being Sony and Nintendo's home turf. Expectations other than what reality is suggesting would equate to stupidity. Perhaps these MS haters want MS to do stupid things? I don't get it.

Hollister:>Mortrek... Now I know why you WERE a videogame tester and aren't anymore>I think there is some definite fanboyism for Sony going on...you can't pay 4$ a month for Xbox live but >you can pay 500-600 for a ps3?I'm not a fanboy. I play what has good games that appeal to me. The Xbox made me want to vomit my insides out. Its not about being a fanboy, trust me. I got a PS2 a year ago, a GC 2 years ago, and a DC 3 years ago. I'm not exactly the "go out and buy something because blah blah made it and its AWESOME!!!!!" type of person. I'm patient and observant :) Thanks for the stock insult though. Made my day.
