Oh good, I'm glad they front paged this story just in case I missed the exact same story 9 down on the front page. /Sick to death of the iphone nonsense.
most new phones that come 'free' with a contract are worth about £200, some more, so that makes the iPhone cost £500 if the £300 surcharge rumour is true. That's one expensive phone - especially with reports of the camera being so s**tty and only 4Gb or 8Gb of storage space for music that can't be upgraded. No thanks.
Data plans are all great, but you got to have coverage, and o2 are certainly a lot better in rural parts of England. Becides the iPhone is coming here, so it doesnt really matter who the vendor is! Like stated before, they cant be tied to one network, which means that its great news for anyone!
We are on O2 for our work phones (I work for an Apple Reseller in the UK) and its not the greatest of networks to be honest. They have pretty much got the worst 3G coverage of all the networks so maybe it won't be 3G over here either!!! They don't have edge either to my knowledge. Vodafone would of been the best network imho as they have a great network and good 3G coverage. Every O2 phone I have ever seen or used has not been SIM locked either so that would be a major change!!Oh and Three are just a hideous tied in locked up network! Not sure about the comment on phones have to be unlockable over here either!

That's exactly what I was trying to say :)The phones in the US are awful (like the cars), so the iPhone stands out a mile.

More like f**k off Americans. No-one cares about 'Ron Paul' (who?) or Apple products.
