joystiq.com — There have been other signs that point to Gears of War eventually being released on the PC, and we're here with another Indiana Jones-like piece to the puzzle. Some Nvidia ForceWare drivers have been turning up with references to Gears of War in them.

I don't think anyone would care. Most people consider PC gaming and console gaming to be two entirely different markets.I'm sure some of the stupider fanboys would try to stir some trouble, but they'd be dugg down. Now if it was a PS3 exclusive going to the 360...

Sure, $800 can buy you some nice equipment, but you will have to cut corners in some areas. Maybe I haven't bought computer equipment in a few years, but last time I did, I got a top end mobo, a dual core processor, 2 gigs of memory and a nice video card and computer case for just under a grand. So that still doesn't take into account the HD, a decent sound card (and speakers) and monitor. Good luck running a new game at high settings with next gen engine for $800....

Finding something in the game code or driver code are well, not exactly the same. Noone scoured GoW's source code and found references to the PC version. The fact that they found references in the driver code, with a specified executable means that NVidia got info about the PC version of GoW, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to add that line into the code. And no, typically different games use different executables, so the version that this was specified for various UE3 games doesn't make much sense either.

i can seriously see Microsoft releasing it this summer, but with DX10 required. that would make a lot of PC gamers upgrade to vista, and shop for a new video card. Microsoft and NVIDIA both win in that case!but hey, I'll still take it, complete with ulterior motives, and gladly upgrade my ailing rig to play it!

i think its bs. it would be a good game gone to waste b/c some dips**t decides to make hacks for it. way dif from xbox live, they actually DO SOMETHING! it needs to stay off the pc.

not to mention also you will have to lower down graphic levels to reduce lag on the pc version, if they do make one. xbox 360 you dont have to do that, you play the same stuff and you wont have to change all the graphic bulls**t. and that picture is probably another fake put out by some fag that wants attention and then we have to go out and prove it wrong again. thats really sadBetter off buying a 360
