I really got into this a few years ago. I collected a metric ton of audio files of these recordings and created a torrent to a private site. If you want some really creepy background audio, put up a play list of these and get to surfing. The broadcaster "Papa November" is my fav.

Mystery shrouds this phenomena known as "Numbers Stations", some blame governments passing messages to it's spies and others blame the drug cartels passing messages to it's people. Who knows what really is going on, but it sure excites the imagination.
