my thoughts exactly. kinda reminds me of the story that Catch a Fire was based on. the guy didn't do anything wrong and was initially against terrorism/insurgents, but after being locked up and abused, and watching his wife be abused by the apartheid government, he becomes disillusioned and joins up with the insurgents.
