Multiple stories on this subject. Dugg this one because it was the first by about 25 days.I am using the FF plugin and it seems to work well, except for the occasional lag when I get info on a site. I'm sure the siteadvisor servers are loaded under the newfound publicity.

Downloaded the beta here: <a class="user" href="http://www.siteadvisor.com/preview/">http://www.siteadvisor.com/preview/</a>This is good stuff. The firefox plug-in allows you see the security rating for any site you visit. You know... will they spam you. Do their downloads contain spy ware. You can even see the the spam generated from registering with any site they have crawled. Also cool: The plug-in places a small red yellow or green icon next to your search results in Google and Yahoo. You can see the rating before you go to a particular site. Hover over the icon and you can see why it's ranked poorly. (cool Ajax u.i. stuff of course)There is another very good review of this software from another person on siteadvisor.com's advisory board. Check it out:<a class="user" href="http://www.hyperorg.com/blogger/mtarchive/siteadvisor_flagging_the_dange.html">http://www.hyperorg.com/blogger/mtarchive/siteadvisor_flagging_the_dange.html</a>They say they'll have an open API too.
