I'm incredibly confused by Microsoft's current strategy, if you can call it that. They spend an enormous amount of money and time to discourage people from using linux, then they sign a deal with novell to basically, "Be nice to each other", then they claim that linux is infringing on their intellectual property? Where's the proof, or is that something that's no longer required? Can Microsoft just make any statement and people think it's true cause Microsoft says so?
Ballmer is a loud mouth jerk who gets a kick out of starting s**t then sitting back and watching it spread. His vaguely threatening statement was just an off the cuff remark with no substance or weight. He was not testifying under oath during a Congressional hearing or within a court of law. Now if the MSFT legal barracudas file a detailed case enumerating actual (alleged) IP violations.......then we will have something to worry about.

Agreed. Until we see some hard proof of these “infringements” all of MS’s claims can be taken with a grain of salt.
