blogs.computerworld.com— Yes! The end of SCO's fruitless attacks on Linux is finally in sight. The jury is in and Novell, not SCO, owns Unix's copyrights.

The hardware that a SW "server" runs on is also called a server. Do you really sigh at people when they ask you what a server is? That leaves me to believe that you have no f**king idea and that you're a douche bag like the Computer Guy Jimmy Fallon played on SNL back in the day. Do you know the difference between a Windows service and a server? I doubt it. "What is a server?" is a very good question from anyone but the most seasoned of IT professionals.
Well Linux nowadays is very easy to install and relatively easy to use depending on what exactly your doing. But rarely there are some hardware quirks that make problems with a linux install. If Ubuntu doesn't work then try Fedora, (my favourite). I have installed linux on many machines and suggest it to my computer engineering buddies, but there generally shouldn't be to many problems. It is probably better to use a live cd and install. I am by means no expert in Linux, I don't know how to create custom partitions, I barely know how to use grub properly and everything needs to be looked up. There is a nice FAQ which helps you get most of the initial info on how to use Linux, what you should install, well there is one for Fedora, I haven't really use Ubuntu as I generally don't like Gnome to much.Good Luck.User messaging on digg with Fedora 12.

SCO only exists now in the way that TDFX exists.

They're gone, their stock symbol SCO was even recycled for another company to use.

I remember when 2005 was Year of Linux on the Laptop. It still never works right.

If you EVER pay to use Linux, you're doing it wrong. ( even legally speaking )
