I think it's right on target, too. I'm finally allowing myself to believe that this wonderful thing is actually going to happen! And I believe it's going to happen by a big margin! A landslide! I believe that Barack Obama is going to win by such a definitive mandate that the Repugs can try all they want to contest election results, but they won't be able to get anywhere with their attempts. The margins of victory will be too large!I believe! And this country is going to have one of the biggest, most joyful celebrations in our history! But having said that, everyone PLEASE follow Obama's advice and don't get c**ky. Those people running McSame/Impaler may have something unthinkable up their sleeves, so we have to continue to register people up to the last minute, vote early where you can, phone bank, talk, talk, talk to neighbors, to anyone who will listen. We can't let up on old-fashioned getting the vote out!
I wish all Obama supporters would read the article. It's not a "rev up the supporters" rave, but a quietly-spoken analysis that explains just why it is that McCaint will not win, due to his "perfect storm" of poor judgments (accompanied by a study of the polls and the electoral map). He says,"Come Nov. 5, we'll wake up to a new president named Barack Obama. Read the article, Blow's argument is totally on mark. As he says, "I’ve studied the polls and the electoral map for months, and I no longer believe that John McCain can win. Unless Barack Obama slips up, Jeremiah Wright shows up or a serious national security emergency flares up, Obama will become the 44th president of the United States.* ... "McCain delivered it to Obama with his reckless pick of Sarah Palin. That stunt made everything that followed feel like a stunt, tarnishing McCain’s reputation and damaging his credibility so that when he went negative it backfired. And, some radical rabble among McCain’s supporters delivered it to Obama by mistaking his political rallies for lynch mobs."Right on the mark!
