community.linux.com — This is awesome way to get at least 52 bucks back. If you buy a computer, you often pay for Microsoft Windows even if you didn't ask for it and aren't going to use it. This article shows you how to return your unused Windows license and get your money back, freeing yourself from the Windows tax.

@SundayBrunch: I imagine your first challenge would be to show that accepting a EULA constitutes a tort. I guess you could come up with a far fetched argument in cases in which parents are suing their own children, but even that would be a tough argument to make. And I think you replied to the wrong post.

"How the hell am I being condescending, if I say that ANYONE can do something for FREE as a better alternative?"Oh I don't know, maybe because a few posts down you make fun of MS users, etc.?

Yeah but you can't build your own laptop, or at least I wouldn't go into it. Anyway this is cool, but not worth to be a top story, and it won't make the windows media stock rise neither http://www.trendio.com/word.php?wordid=448&language=en

"should we all demand money back on all this bundled stuff?"From those of us who have been buying computers long enough to remember when you had to ask for (and pay extra) for the OS- YES.

"The auto industry. In most cases for any given make and model you have 2 or 3 "trim" levels. Some don't have everything you want in a car, others have too much, but some of what you want. Either you pay less and don't get the features you want, or pay a lot more and get features you want plus some you don't."that isn't even the same thing - at least you have the choice of going to ford, chevy, honda, toyota, volkswagon, etc etc - here in this industry you don't even have the choice because one company has forced their monopoly on the industry illegally and yet has had only a hand slap and just keeps buying itself out of jams it gets into because of all the money they make from their illegal monopoly.
