independent.org — Although George W. Bush is probably not the worst president in U.S. history (Woodrow Wilson may have that dubious honour), the president may be in contention for that title in the post-Second World War era.

History will show President George W. Bush to be the most important president of our time. The way he has steadfastly led the world towards democracy will be his legacy.

"Barely legal child". Great spin, you should apply at the White House.

"Look at the socialist states out there and look how close they are to a tolitarian state, i pray america always stays free and a democracy."Are you reading Karl Rove's spin talking points or are you really that stupid?Socialism != totalitarianism. If you are afraid of totalitarianism, then maybe you shouldn't be supporting a president that has as his main goals enriching the wealthy and bastardizing the constitution to favor his own personal ideological and theological whims.

@ jbusThanks for your thoughtful response to my comments. There was a time when I was in fairly close agreement with your point of view, especially about voting. Although I thought voting was a waste of time, I actually did vote Libertarian in 2000, as a matter of principle. Lot of good it did. :-)Since then I have re-examined my principles. I discovered some inconsistencies and contradictions in my beliefs. One of my most basic beliefs is that it is immoral for one human being to aggress against another. Aggression means the initiation of force or fraud in any form. Since government is defined as the institution with a legalized monopoly on the initiation of force in a given territory, all government is inherently immoral. Therefore, to support government in any way is immoral. Voting is supportive of government; therefore, it is immoral. To state it another way, voting is the attempt to use the force of government to impose your ideas on people who may have different ideas.Government can only exist with the consent of the governed. If enough people believe that the government has a legitimate right to run their lives, the government can plunder the people any way its agents choose. In America, most people think the "right to vote" grants legitimacy. They think they actually have some input into the decisions of their rulers because they are allowed to mark a ballot every few years, only now it is push a button in an electronic system that is even easier to rig than ballot boxes. I refuse to participate in the sham, as a matter of principle.

Kind of like how we invaded Africa and the islands in the Pacific after Pearl Harbor
