creativebits.org — Go under Macintosh HD, Developer, applications, then click Core Image Fun House. This fun little application isn't in your applications folder. It lets you add some pretty cool photobooth effects and unique ones to any photo you choose. Won't replace Photoshop but still it's still nice to know.

You don't really need to install the whole developer tools, just extract the app using pacifist. Same goes for Plist Editor or Quartz Composer which are some very damn useful utilities.

I made my user icon with it.
digitalarcanumMay 28, 2007
guess what? I did my user icon in mspaint. Do I get a cookie for using an OS built-in app too?!?

Fun House has been there forever. :S

@gravis66: No, it isn't. Aperture is professional photo editing software, it serves more to adjust light, saturation, contrast, white balance, etc. It's not really an image manipulator such as Photoshop. Aperture has more in common with Adobe Lightroom. Also included with OS X is Core Video, Core Audio and in Leopard, Core Animation.

Must only be in Tiger because I don't have it in my Panther install ... bummer :-(

For those who don't feel like downloading 900mb of developer tools, ChocoFlop offers the same features (and more) and the download is 2 mb.http://www.chocoflop.com/(Yes, it's a shameless plug, I wrote that one).

OOps, looks like I said something stupid. There's an old version of the developer tools on your OSX install disc. So you don't have to download the latest developer tools just to get Core Image Fun House.

Apple isn't about your lies!(I'm kidding). Yeah yeah, but it's digg technology section, I think you should put what ti actually is rather than what it seems to be. Esse quam videri.

Why do people need a path when you have Spotlight?Splat-space, and start typing 'co...' and it will come.
tempusfugitingJun 10, 2008
I think that you're all making it up! :PI can't find it anywhere. I've tried spotlight, and I've trawled through what seems like the whole f***** hard drive. Not a little sausage! Then again, I recently upgraded to Leopard, so maybe it's not on that system :S
