its relevant cause the season premiere is tonight..and info like this is relevant as long as the show is. Could you find a way to be a more productive contributor?
The reason is pretty simple. When you focus on vocal or instrumental ability alone, you leave the aspect of musical intelligence and creativity to complete chance. So it ends up being a crapshoot whether the winners can actually make a decent song, or if they can just belt out a few pre-written lyrics and cliches.
I have no sympathy for Taylor Hicks. Read an interview right after he won, he was a total dick. Even the interviewer couldn't help but mention how rude he was being.
