engadgetmobile.com— The most prominent design feature of aeon is a touchscreen that stretches over the full surface area of the phone, similar to BenQ-Siemens's Black box concept phone we saw recently.

Doesn't Apple already have a patent(s) for something similar to this? I distinctly remember reading a Digg story with links to Apple patents for dual touchscreen (top and bottom) laptops and full touch screen handhelds.
"My only question is what's preventing random buttons from getting pushed. Say, for some odd reason, you put it in your pocket with your keys or some change... what's preventing the buttons to be pushed all the time making a random call?"Same solutions as regular phones: keypad lock. And also, it would only trigger with actual skin (or heat or something) I believe. Also, I too need that tactile feedback in order to dial--- but now 'voice activated calling' is all the rage so no need for keypads anymore.
Replying to mycatsboots, as I can't understand Digg's weird interface..."Samsung/LG and Sanyo (Sprint) make the best phones. They have great software, great response, and overall great ease of use.....I suppose it could be worse though, I could own a Sony-Ericsson"Most LG and Sony Ericsson phones use the same software, Symbian S60. I've had pretty good expeiences with SE phones to date. If you want to complain about unresponsiveness, ask anyone who owns a Windows Mobile 5 device (including myself - alas, there's very few 3G devices with decent screens in Australia, so I got a Jasjar).
Yes...I agree. I have an O2 Xda mini and this is the one problem that I have with it. No textual buttons, only a flat screen. You have to be looking carefully and have to use the end of your finger.
"And also, it would only trigger with actual skin (or heat or something) I believe."Well that would be annoying. I would hate to have to take off my gloves in the winter everytime I needed my phone
