techdigest.tv — As news filters down to CES of the iPhone, Nokia's head of Nseries Computers (the multimedia phones most threatened by iPhone) gives his views, saying that it's good competition, confirms what Nokia's been preaching etc etc. And then slyly points out that the iPhone is 2G, not 3G. I reckon they're worried though.

In the UK we've been stiffed for 3G because of Cingulars 'exclusive' relationship with apple. In the UK 3G is used for TV and audio streaming, which would have been killer on the iPhone. Bet we're not going to have random voicemail either. I'm still gonna get one though, I hope O2 get it.

and if you wanted a computer you would just make your own. And if you wanted an mp3 player you would buy a cheap sansa. All the same features, none of the price.Except for the fact that the it's Apple. And they are usable as all-f**k. No fudging. Clickwheel, Dock, iLife. It'll work good, and look sexy. Form AND function. Does anybody realize that it's a 499 dollar tablet OSX? Jobs said it a billion times. It's a full flegded OS X.

I bet it'll be 3G for Asia, as it's so far ahead of the US market they'd be stupid not to.

Yeah. if they ship the sdk with xcode for instance, i can imagine the most wonderful possibilities for this. imagine delicious library for this for instance. Just walk up to your dvd's and scan them. Loaning out a disc to a friend, just click loan and scan the item.If the screen is (/becomes) pressure sensitive, it would be like having a graphic tablet in your pocket. With some nice painter / photo editing software, it would be awesome =) Some very specialized vnc type software could possibly even allow you to touch up parts of images in photoshop. If they did the right thing, and allow you to download and buy these apps online, via the itunes store (like with the games),it would be truly amazing. Not having to mess around with installers and the like. itunes just has a list of games/apps that you can synch with your mac. hopefully it would be like the podcasts.

Windows Mobile is a big part of smart phones sucking. I can't stand that hair-brained excuse for an interface. They made turning WiFi on and off a chore. Clowns.

@NoMercyGTPTake a gander over here. Cingular is going to be 3g soon with HSPDA but the iPhone's implementation is still 2.5gVerizon and Sprint have the fastest wireless speeds in the US. Do some research.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3g

well i would say that the iphone is not the all upto date mobile phone , in my opinion i think that the iphone is just another fashion accessory as compared to other nokia phones which are known for its advances in technologies.http://www.simfone.co.uk
