I understand that deleting books without users permission is wrong in every way. What I'm wondering is whether the users were refunded in any way (assuming users bought them from Amazon)?

The only reason they have this control is because they want DRM. The only reason they want DRM is to lock you to the device and avoid competition. The Kindle and the Amazon store is the iPod and iTunes for books. They have to be stopped. F*ck DRM and F*ck Bezos.

Why not petition the publisher that put the pressure Amazon? Or would that make too much sense?
