independent.co.uk— Andy is young and healthy – yet he’s never experienced physical desire. And there are thousands more like him. Olly Bootle meets the asexuals.

Except, one of the people in the article had sex before:FTA: "He was curious to see what sex would be like, so he decided to give it a go. He thought that trying it might kick his hormones into gear. “I thought some hidden sexuality might blossom, but it just wasn’t something that I was driven to do like she was.” After several months together, Holland split up with his girlfriend, partly because of the difference in sexual appetites.Holland says that sex was “quite fun, quite enjoyable”, but crucially, he has no drive to go out and do it again. “If it happens it happens. I enjoy golf but if I never play it again, I don’t care.”
?It?s hard to imagine what would push me to having sex. I?m not afraid of sex, it?s just not something I want to do. That?s probably why I delve into the world of science fiction and Transformers, where sex isn?t an issue at all.? lol
Asexuals are either people who had something really f**ked up happen to them as a child, have extremely low sex drives or I don't know. Think of it like this. What animal doesn't have sex? Extinct ones.
Uh, what? You said "And yes, there is something wrong with being asexual" not "And yes, there is something wrong with being asexual if you want to reproduce"
No, asexual REPRODUCTION means to reproduce without sex. Asexual means without sex, nothing more. It doesn't say anything about reproduction until you add the actual word reproduction after it.
Asexuals want asexuality to be well known so they can find other asexuals to have relationships with, or they can find us. There's probably always been asexuals, just they never had a way to communicate in big enough numbers before. We are generally quite happy to have everyone else ignore us and go about their sex driven lives and leave us alone. And while nature tends toward reproduction, there is no rule that says all individuals get to reproduce. Look at bees, the queen gets to do the budding herself while all the other females just tend to her and the offspring. So saying it's 'against narture' is narrow minded bollocks, nature thrives on diversity and doesn't take sides either way.
