They've tried a ton of combinations in the past: workboy, tv tuner, fm radio, barcode scanner, mp3 player, etc. If they combined the GameBoy Micro with a mobile phone, I'd be interested; especially if it had some sort of virtual console compatibility. P.S. It looks like Wiifanboy straight hijacked the story from Engadget; I guess at least they included a link.

Something tells me, this was more of a defensive patent, to try and keep (or impede) cell phone manufacturers from making gaming-centric phones which would encroach on Nintendo's handheld market.
