That was based of of Nintendo's shipment numbers, which is sales to stores. This takes out the middleman of units sitting in warehouses and on store shelves, which is why it is 3 months later...
Even though The Nintendo Wii is selling well it could be selling a lot better. If anyone read the recent report at <a class="user" href="http://www.lshock.com/blog/?p=1032">http://www.lshock.com/blog/?p=1032</a> , you would know that websites like Gamestop.com are deliberately trying to keep the sale of Wii units lower so they can inflate demand. They are doing this by still requiring bundle packages or simply by deceptively making it appear that Stand Alone Consoles are not available.
