I don't care as long as it has some benefit on getting linux to work on it. I really wish I could buy something like the pandora (openpandora.org) for $150-$200ish and just emulate the hardware layer on linux. The Nintendo DS is the closest thing I can think of that achieves this functionality. I hope we get a uCLinux/Busybox distro on the DS sometime soon due to this. (Yes I realize this is currently possible but unfortunately for the current DS it's still a very restricted environment)

No territorial lockout, we can run homebrew/Linux from day 1, even programming on the system itself, by far more user-friendly/less draconian DRM than it's competitor's consoles, the ability to use more standard peripherals and even hard drives.
