well considering that there are alot of Nintendo fanboys, plus alot of the excitement is probably for the major games, but you've got to wonder how much else they can offer..i'm a 360 owner, a future ps3 owner, and maybe a wii owner, but i won't doubt that the newness seems really cool. I just can't picture many non-gamers buying this thing. They havent' bought games already, they probably will never buy a game console
I agree with Nobi-Wan. I just want to sit on the sofa and play a video game. I do not want to wave my arms around. The Wii will be fun for about 20 minutes, then you will be looking around for a real controller.
Now, I'll admit that is cool, but Xbox 360's profiles have the same function. There are universal settings that games automatically load based on preferences stated in the user profile.
At least someone around here has some common sense.I try to state my point and opinions as neutrally as possible (like you have) and I usually try to put something in there like "it might be cool" but people get so emotional about something as stupid as a game system. Seriously.Sometimes you can only take so much =)
Ohh for f**ks sake, for the last f**king time: I WANT BOTH. Gameplay AND graphics. They don't have to be mutually exclusive. Get it through your thick f**king skull."You're telling me you can sit anybody down and they can learn how to play any computer game in 15 seconds?"ANY computer game? No. Most? Yes. Do you think every single Wii game is going to be "learn in 5 minutes?" If so, then goddamned that's going to be boring. Talk about ProgressQuest."It doesn't matter who uses it, this is a new type of controller. "But you said most people would be used to gamepads.."Did any of them say it was awkward? Not that I've seen."I don't know, since every comment that's anything but "ohh golly gee I can't wait to give my money to Nintendo" is being buried to s**t. But besides that, can you see using the wand for every type of game? I can't. The games they've demo'd have been designed for the wand from the ground up. I don't see every game falling under this category, unless Nintendo is okay with not bringing many games to the system. We'll see. I'm definately going to check the thing out. Hey, maybe it'll be the best thing since sliced bread, but I just don't see that happening with this implimentation of a motion sensing device.
"With Metroid and Zelda, I think the Wii has the best launch lineup in the history of gaming."And here I thought Nintendo was supposed to be doing something revolutionary? Instead, they're just bringing back rehashes of old ass games just like everyone else by piggybacking on success of the past.

Personally, I think the 360 AND WII are stealing the show. For the price of a PS3 I can get a WII AND have a 360. Awesome

You mean non-childish games like Red Steel or Disaster?
