If Nintendo stuck with the SNES CD then SEGA would probably still be making consoles. Something to think about. :P

Everyone looks at Virtual Boy so negatively. But I see it in a "glass half full or half empty" kind of way. If you look at it as a game machine, sure it was a failure. But if you look it as the world's most effective headache inducer, then it was a rousing success!

I loved Twilight Princess, but am I the only one who feels disappointed by that game? Hear me out -- I'm not saying the game is bad. It's a great game. This isn't a bitching contest... But now that we've all played it, go on youtube or something and go watch the 3 trailers we got to see while waiting for the game. The E3 "blades will bleed" one, the CES "howling wolf" one and the 3rd "darker Link" one . Am I the only one who feels the game that was teased in those trailers could have been so much more? Especially trailer #2, which looked like a hundred times more "fantastic" than the game actually is (maybe it's because I was a sucker for that paradisaical forest in the intro, which turned out to be more of a a s**tty swamp in the game) ? I guess all I'm saying is, while the trailers themselves were a huge surprise, the game was far from being Nintendo's best offering in the latest years... it doesn't really deserve a spot in memorable moments of Nintendo history. It's actually turned me off from video games a lot -- I realized my expectations have grown too high now for a "perfect" game, and I will never have it again.

The biggest surprise for me was when Luigi came out of the closet.

Your standards are WAY to high. Granted, I was dissapointed that the game didn't quite live up to the teasers, but I still consider it a solid game and enjoyed it. I don't think anything could "turned me off from video games", even if it's a step back, but I still enjoy SNES games (or their re-releases) now and then. Never have I thought that a ground-breaking advancement was more important than a good gaming experience.
