biz.gamedaily.com — "We will sell more units than Xbox 360 did here in the United States in our launch window. I mean, in December, we sold more GameCubes in the United States than Microsoft sold 360s, and Revolution will do better than that," Reggie said. Sounds like fighting words to me!

Haha.. Yea it's pretty funny. XBOX 360 fanboys are praising Microsoft's by noting how brilliant their marketing plan was by artificially creating hype with planned shortage. At the same time they are also defending Microsoft's inability to meet the demand by blaming the manufacturers. Not to mention they try to explain away the pitiful sales figures in Japan by painting all Japanese consumers as America hating racists. Can fanboys at least admit that XBOX 360 launch didn't go very smoothly? I doubt it.From the looks of things, I'd say that Revolution sales number will eclipse one year of XBOX 360 sales number in six months. In Japan that will happen in first one or two months of launch.

meh, i'm more of a 360 guy... don't have it yet, but want it. i might get revolution, but I already know my main gaming system will be the 360he might be right though.personally, i think sonys going to lose out this time around... Nintendo will have the new innovative games, 360 will have the Xbox Live, and PS3 will be much better graphics, and much sleeker, but at a much higher price... I mean it'll sell, but consumers won't be fooled by fancy graphics if it has a 500 or 600$ price tag, they'll actually want to know if it has the actual games behind it. they'll want to know if its worth the investment.I mean 360 already has 3rd party support (meaning atleast some good games) and Live, so they already got me waiting to get a system.(i mean nintendo has always been the best at overall game play, but I'm still picking 360 because no one can match them with their internet gaming, hell not even PC gaming can)

Sorry Nintendo, there just aren't enough kid gamers out there to outsell the adult machines such as XBOX360 and PS3.

I would have to say that the reason they out sold the 360 in December is the fact that the 360 was out of stock and plus the alternative, GCN was 100 bucks. Heck I bought a Gamecube yesterday. LOL.I expect the Revolution to do well. It appeals to a wider range of gamer as does the NDS which is the reason why the DS is outselling the PSP. People down about the Nintendo consoles, but I know all agree that Mario Kart pwns. (^-^)

If this launches for $200, they'll be flying off the shelves.

""Sorry Nintendo, there just aren't enough kid gamers out there to outsell the adult machines such as XBOX360 and PS3.""Yes because we all know just how much of a "kids game" RE4 was right? I'm 22 years old, and I still play the Nintendo systems. I guess 22 is now considered being a child though right?

to be fair though, there was a surplus of Gamecubes and almost nowhere near enough 360s to go around

I'm planning on most likely buying a Revolution. I may not buy it right when it comes out (mostly depending on the price), but I will probably buy one after the first price drop. In my opinion, it's the only system worth buying. The 360 is and the PS3 will also be overpriced hunks of junk as far as I'm concerned. $300+ for a gaming console? No thanks. I don't care if the games are in HD. I don't own an HDTV anyway. I just want them to be fun.

Does anyone think that microsoft could sustain possibly giving a chosen future version windows for free. Do it once to set everyone strait.
